V A R I A N T   N A M E S
Also known as: Phrygian Dominant, Phrygian Major, Major Phrygian, Melodic Major b2, Spanish Phrygian, Spanish Major, Spanish Gypsy, Flamenco, Jewish, Freygish, Ahava Rabboh, Hijaz. This mysterious and gorgeous series of tones is common in Spanish and Middle Eastern music; its natural 4th and 5th degrees make it relatively easy to harmonize.
